2023/24 Belfast Ice Foxes Captains

Club Captain 2023/24

Davy Brown #11

"Hey there folks, it's me Davy Brown.

I went to the first Giants game back in 2000 and have loved the sport ever since.  Though it took another 15 years until I took up the sport myself.

Starting out in Vancouver, Canada (Go Canucks!) at a learn to play session (if you fancy starting yourself check ours out by clicking here) I spent a few years playing there before moving home.  Foxes was recommended to me, and it was a great decision.  I'd say the team has some of my best friends on, the craic and the camaraderie is second to none. LFG. "

James "Jimbo" Hamilton #8

"Hi, I'm James (Jimbo) and I have been playing for the Belfast Ice Foxes since 2012.

I play on the wing, but I am also the head coach here at the Foxes.

I would say hockey is a big part to my life, my hockey idols over the years have been Jerome Iginla and Mike Cammalleri.  Calgary Flames have been my team since I can remember!

The thing I enjoy the most about playing for the Foxes is that we've become so much more than a hockey team, both on and off of the ice."

Alternate Captain 2023/24

Chris Millar #89

"Like many, hockey started with The Mighty Ducks. However, I didn't get into organised hockey until I was 12, when I joined Lisburn Devils Inline Hockey in 2002. I moved to the Northern Cyclones in 2007 and stayed with the club until 2017 when I made the switch to ice hockey.

Many people had recommended the Foxes to me, and it quickly became clear why.  Unfortunately politics and drama often take centre stage in sports these day, the Foxes are a refreshing exception. Here, you'll find a team of laid-back, chill people who share a love for the sport, driven purely by the joy of playing.

I can confidently say that I've never encountered a club as relaxed and, more importantly, as inclusive as the Foxes. Being part of the Foxes team is truly a privilege. Being a captain is an honour"
